This is great what you are doing. I would like to know if you have drop off locations in other cities.
I would love to volunteer also but I am not in your area. Please send me a list.

We live in NJ are we will send you some comforters, sheets etc. Plesse advise how to do it.

5. admin says:

Ronnye — it would be great if you called some shelters in your neighborhood and provided the bedding you have to them directly! Ask the shelters in your community to register on our site, so we have them in mind when we have more donations! Thanks.

6. admin says:

Ms. Sylvia — The way that you can volunteer would be to call hotels and shelters in your community to get them involved. Simply ask the shelters what their needs are, and ask the hotels to meet them! Don’t forget to ask the hotels and shelters in your community to register on our site, so we have them in mind when we have more donations! Thanks.

I saw the Oprah show and loved your idea. I am making a list of shelters to call to find out what their needs are. I would love to be able to correspond with you as I take on this new adventure as I’m sure I will have some questions in the process. Thanks for giving back and inspiring others to help.

I just wanted to let you know that I read the article about your project in People magazine about a year ago……..I contacted about 5 local hotels in my area and asked them to donate used linens, etc……….I heard nothing.

So, this past Monday, I sent out a new batch of letters.

TODAY, I received a call from Candlewood Suites here in Washington, PA. Tammy, the head of housekeeping, gave me a big box of used linens, which are near perfect in my opinion……AND over 100 electric irons (apparently their hotel replaced all their existing irons with ones that had retractable cords).

This was a happy day for me! It was nice that I finally got a response from a hotel and the thought of doing something nice for some needy people has given me a warm feeling all day.

Thank you for sharing this very simple idea with the rest of us! I am a very busy mother with an “at home” business, but I can always find the time to do something for others.

May God Bless you and may God bless me as well……….I need all the blessings I can get.

16. Janey says:

I got my second hotel to sign on today. I am on a roll. Hampton Inn and Suites on Racetrack Road in Washington, PA called yesterday and are donating two big boxes today. I am picking them up around 8:30 AM. Thank you to Hampton Inn.

New here,

I’m here online for the kids of Haiti.

I’m doing this for a non-profit group in which the main focus is to
creating oppurtunities for the children in haiti. If anybody wants to help then this is the place:

Donate to Haiti or Help Haiti

They give children in Haiti a positive learning environment.

Yes, they’re legitimate.

Any help would be great
